INDEPENDENCE, Mo., May 25 (UPI) -- Police throughout Missouri are looking for a man and woman suspected of videotaping the sexual assault and killing of a drugged woman.
Independence, Mo., Police Chief Fred Mills said a videotape date-stamped May 14 shows Marsha Spicer, 41, with her arms bound and her eyes taped shut as a man and woman sexually abused, beat and suffocated her.
Mills said the most seasoned detectives had difficulty watching the tape but the attackers were recognizable.
After Spicer's body was found in a shallow grave by a fisherman on May 15, evidence led police to the home of Richard Davis, 41, and Dena Riley, 39, the Blue Springs (Mo.) Examiner said.
They allegedly found a notebook containing violent sexual references and noticed a video camera aimed at the bed, prosecutors said.
The couple denied knowing the victim and said she had never been to the apartment. When police returned with a search warrant, the couple, described as armed and dangerous, fled, the newspaper said.
