Poll: Almost half in U.S. creationist

LONDON, May 25 (UPI) -- The former Soviet republic of Georgia says it has no plans for an early application to join the European Union but is more interested in NATO.
Prime Minister Zurab Nogaideli said Georgia sensed what he called an "enlargement fatigue" in the EU and now was not the time to discuss the situation, the London Independent said.
Nogaideli was speaking in London amid meetings with government leaders.
Georgia, whose peaceful "rose revolution" in 2003 brought the westward-orientated Mikhail Saakashvili to power, has been pursuing a pro-West policy.
Georgia appears to have been promised entry to NATO, if not next year, then soon thereafter, the newspaper said.
