Poll: Almost half in U.S. creationist

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va., May 18 (UPI) -- Conservative televangelist Pat Robertson says God has given him warnings of U.S. coastal storms this year and maybe even a tsunami.
Speaking on "The 700 Club" program on the Christian Broadcasting Network he founded in Virginia Beach, Va., Robertson made the revelation on May 8, the Virginian-Pilot reported.
"If I heard the Lord right about 2006, the coasts of America will be lashed by storms," he said.
He said the prophecy came to him in January while he attended a personal prayer retreat but added more to the warning Wednesday, the newspaper said.
"There well may be something as bad as a tsunami in the Pacific Northwest," Robertson said.
The Atlantic hurricane season begins June 1.
