At least 10 people were arrested in the anti-fence march through Jerusalem's A-Ram neighborhood, Israel Army Radio reported.
Police hurled tear gas and stun grenades to break up the crowd.
Protesters called the police response a "brutal attack on a quiet and non-violent demonstration," the newspaper reported.
