JERSEY CITY, N.J., May 4 (UPI) -- Investigators are trying to determine where a dead and dismembered newborn baby -- found at a New Jersey trash recycling plant -- was dumped.
Eagle Recycling in North Bergen gets 60 to 70 dumpsters of construction debris every day. They come from all over New Jersey and from New York City.
Company employees discovered human body parts Wednesday as they sorted through the debris, the Jersey Journal reported. A corpse dog was used to find all the parts.
Investigators are unsure if the baby was stillborn or died after birth.
"This is a very disturbing discovery and we are going to require help from the public to locate the mother who delivered this full-term baby, whether alive or dead," Hudson County Prosecutor Edward DeFazio said.
