SUAN JUAN, Puerto Rico, April 27 (UPI) -- An oil tanker ran aground early Thursday morning in southwest Puerto Rico, El Nuevo Dia reported online.
U.S. Coast Guard officials said they were not certain what caused the ship to run aground and that there were no reports of injuries or spillage.

The ship contains over 300,000 barrels of crude oil.
