Report: Blair's son gets rowdy in D.C. bar

WASHINGTON, April 26 (UPI) -- A waitress at a Washington bar said British Prime Minister Tony Blair's oldest son was intoxicated and tried to burn his table with candles.

Becky Brasch, a 26-year-old waitress at Madam's Organ blues bar, said Euan Blair repeatedly ask for more candles on the table and didn't stop when she told him not to light the table on fire.

The Mirror reports the 22-year-old, eldest son of the prime minister, confronted Brasch because she didn't know who he was, but quickly backed down when she talked back to him.

"Someone from that sort of privileged background shouldn't act that way," said Brasch.

He apologized and was allowed to stay, Brasch said.

Blair is in Washington for an internship with Republican congressional members.

Bill Duggan, owner of Madam's Organ, said someone form the a congressional office called him later, asking him to claim nothing out of the ordinary happened at the bar.

Duggan said the incident was taken care of by Blair's apology and he is welcome back at the bar.
