Chicagoan charged in church slaying

CHICAGO, April 23 (UPI) -- Chicago police have charged a suspect in the shooting death earlier this month of a teenage church musician.

Eighteen-year-old Terrell Bosley was socializing with friends in a parking lot outside the Lights of Zion Missionary Baptist Church when he was shot by a man who approached him, the Chicago Tribune reported.

Bosley, nicknamed "Mr. Music," was a self-taught musician who played bass in several churches on Chicago's South Side, the Tribune said.

Police identified the suspect in Bosley's slaying as David Stanley of Chicago. He was charged with first-degree murder and aggravated battery.

Bosley did not know his killer, said police, who released no motive.
