ISLAMABAD, Pakistan, April 17 (UPI) -- The deadly H5N1 strain of avian influenza has been detected at a third poultry farm in Pakistan.

Poultry workers have been tested for the virus, but no human cases have been detected so far in Pakistan.

Sales of chicken and eggs have dropped sharply since the flu was reported, causing a sharp drop in prices.

Health Minister Nasir Khan advised consumers that chicken is still safe to eat as long as it is cooked well. The Poultry Association of Pakistan has begun an advertising campaign to help poultry farmers.
