1995 Paris bombing suspect sentenced

PARIS, March 29 (UPI) -- The man French authorities blame for the deadly 1995 Paris Metro bombings was given a 10-year sentence and now faces more charges.

Rachid Ramda was sentenced for associating with Algeria's Armed Islamic Group, the terrorist organization accused of the attack, the BBC reports.

Eight people died in the bombings.

Ramda was extradited from Britain to France and brought to trial in February.

He faces murder charges now.
