2 killed by tornado on Missouri road

ST. LOUIS, March 12 (UPI) -- Two people died on a Missouri highway when a tornado shoved their pickup truck under a propane tank as heavy rain battered the Midwest.

Those appear to have been the only deaths during Saturday's storms, the National Weather Service reported, although other tornadoes struck the area. The fatalities were on Highway 61 in a rural area near St. Mary and about 80 miles south of St. Louis.
