Iowa youth allegedly plotted massacre

MUSCATINE, Iowa, March 2 (UPI) -- A 17-year-old Iowa youth is facing charges stemming from an alleged plan to stage a massacre at Muscatine High School.

Prosecutor Gary Allison said police found explosives at the home of Christopher Dewayne Titus. A 19-year-old Knoxville woman told police Titus told her of the plot in e-mail and online chats.

The alleged massacre had been scheduled for Thursday, the Des Moines (Iowa) Register reported.

Titus, an alleged white supremacist who dropped out of school a year ago, is facing terrorism and threats of arson charges.
