BOULDER, Colo., Feb. 3 (UPI) -- John and Patsy Ramsey were briefed by Boulder, Colo., authorities on the status of the investigation into the slaying of 6-year-old JonBenet.
The Charlevoix, Mich., residents were in Boulder this week visiting John Ramsey's adult son, the Rocky Mountain News reported Friday.
They met with District Attorney Mary Lacy, who took over the investigation into their daughter's 1996 slaying from Boulder police in 2002.
Lin Wood, the Ramseys' Atlanta-based attorney, said the Wednesday meeting was "partly to say hello" and an opportunity to catch up on what is happening with the investigation.
Lacy Thursday refused to divulge any details of the meeting.
JonBenet Ramsey was found beaten and strangled Dec. 26, 1996, in the family's basement several hours after her mother found a ransom note demanding $118,000.
No one has ever been charged in her death.
