Two held in architecture student's slaying

MURPHYSBORO, Ill., Feb. 1 (UPI) -- Bond was set at $1 million each for a couple accused of murder in the slaying of a Southern Illinois University student from Chicago, a report said.

Bond was set Monday for John Bryant and Lisa Bryant, both 37 of Murphysboro, Ill., on three counts of murder and one count of concealment of a homicidal death, The Southern Illinoisan reported.

Jackson County, Ill., sheriff's police had yet to release a cause of death for Christopher Gandy, 23, whose body was found Saturday near a burned car in a cemetery.

The senior architecture student, who lived in Carbondale, was from Chicago.
