PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti, Jan. 17 (UPI) -- Two U.N. peacekeepers from Jordan were killed and a third seriously injured in a shooting at a checkpoint in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti, a U.N. spokesman said.

One soldier was killed in the attack and the other died later at a hospital, a spokesman for U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan said Tuesday in New York.
