TALLAHASSEE, Fla., Dec. 25 (UPI) -- An internal report of the Florida Department of Management Services inspector general says state human resource information may have security issues.
A nine-year, $350 million contract had been awarded to privatize and automate state human resource services. The report said employees can download personnel information to disks, print copies or e-mail data without leaving a trail, reported the Tallahassee (Fla) Democrat Sunday.
After the newspaper obtained the 16-page report last week and asked state officials about it, the state sent a memo Friday to department heads and Cabinet officers saying the Department of Management Services had checked out the allegations and found "no evidence of violations or improper use of confidential information" or system errors, the newspaper said.
