HEBRON, Israel, Dec. 16 (UPI) -- Gunmen Friday fired at a car in Hebron, killing a 35-year-old Israeli settler and wounding two others.
The dead man was shot in the head when his car was ambushed on a road near the southern West Bank town, the BBC reported.
The Palestinian militant groups Islamic Jihad and the al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigade claimed responsibility. The Jerusalem Post said the attack was in response to the targeted killings earlier of some al-Aqsa members.
Israeli newspaper Haaretz reported the dead man, Yossi Shuk, was a father of five.
