Browns sign Andra Davis to five-year deal

BEREA, Ohio, Dec. 15 (UPI) -- The Cleveland Browns have signed linebacker Andra Davis to a five-year contract extension, the team announced Thursday.

Financial terms of the deal were not released.

The Browns' fifth-round draft pick in 2002, Davis has started all 13 of the Browns' games this season. He has a team-leading 124 tackles, as well as two sacks and one interception.

In four years with Cleveland the former Florida Gator has recorded 355 tackles, 7.5 sacks and five interceptions in 56 games. He missed the last five games of 2004 due to a knee injury.
