Spain nabs 10 terror suspects

MADRID, Nov. 23 (UPI) -- Spanish authorities Wednesday arrested 10 people suspected of creating a support network for a group allegedly linked to al-Qaida.

The Interior Ministry said the group -- the Algerian-based Salafist Group for Preaching and Combat -- was given financial and logistical support by the suspects, El Mundo reported online.

Tens of thousands of dollars in cash was seized in the raid, as well as computers and drugs.

The men were -- at the time of their arrest -- not connected to the 2004 Madrid train bombings, Spanish authorities noted.
