Rabin remembered on anniversary of death

JERUSALEM, Nov. 3 (UPI) -- The daughter of the late Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin, who was assassinated 10 years ago, says the slain leader was ahead of this time.

Speaking at a state ceremony marking the 10th anniversary of Rabin's death, Dalia Rabin said the lessons of her father's death haven't yet been learned, reports the Jerusalem Post.

She paid tribute by praising Rabin's vision, his bravery in leading Israel along a new path, adding there can be no doubt that "he was ahead of his time." She said the main purpose of the center set up to honor the leader is to enable democratic values in Israel to take root and grow stronger.
