BOSTON, Nov. 3 (UPI) -- The death of Cape Cod millionaire Ken Simon is expected to set off a war between his ex-hooker wife and his children over his fortune.
Simon, 73, on life support and slowly deteriorating from liver disease brought on by alcoholism, died after a judge ordered life support stopped, the Boston Herald said. Medical reports showed there was no hope of recovery.
Simon's death is expected to launch a nasty fight over the former mutual fund manager's estimated $9 million estate. His will gives his wife, Anne Simon, 43, his $1.8 million Harwichport home, $120,000 in education money and $100,000 cash.
The couple married in July 2004, shortly after Anne Simon finished a six-year prison sentence for running a Cape Cod prostitution racket. She has been accused by the children of being a gold digger who preyed on their sick dad.
