JENIN, West Bank, Nov. 1 (UPI) -- An Israel air force missile strike on a car killed two known Palestinian militants in the northern Gaza Strip Tuesday.
Hassan Al-Madhoun and Hamas operative Fawzi Abu Al-Qara were killed, Ha'aretz reported. Palestinian doctors said nine bystanders were wounded in the strike in the Jabalya refugee camp.
The attack drew an immediate threat of response from Hamas.
"This is an open war," said Hamas spokesman Mushir al-Masri. "They (the Israelis) are going to pay a heavy price for their crimes."
Elsewhere, Israeli forces arrested 25 Palestinians in three West Bank areas as part of a sweep against protesters of the security wall.
The military action took place near Jenin, Hebron and Ramallah.
In Bilin, west of Ramallah, the head of a group called the Anti-Apartheid Wall Committee, Iyad Burnat told the Wafa Palestinian news agency that Israeli soldiers moved in on a peaceful demonstration and pushed people against the wall.
