2 arrested in Capitol bomb scare

WASHINGTON, Oct. 21 (UPI) -- Police Friday arrested two men in a bomb scare near the U.S. Capitol.

CNN reports the two were parked in a rental car and claimed they had an explosive device.

Capitol Police spokeswoman Sgt. Jessica Gissubel said the incident began about 10:50 a.m. after the pair made suspicious comments to police. No evacuations were ordered but the bomb squad destroyed a package found in the car. It was unclear whether the package actually posed a danger.
