Eleven die in Saudi bus-truck collision

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia, Sept. 27 (UPI) -- Eleven people were killed and nine others wounded in a head-on collision between a bus and a truck outside the Saudi capital, Riyadh, reports said Tuesday.

The daily newspaper al-Watan said the accident occurred late Monday in the region of Hafouf when the bus carrying 25 passengers tried unsuccessfully to avoid the truck coming in the opposite direction.

Ten Saudis and a Pakistani national were killed, and nine other Saudis were gravely injured and rushed to a nearby hospital.
