GAZA, Sept. 24 (UPI) -- Hamas accused the Palestinian Authority of waging a media war against the militant group and promoting the Israeli position, hurting national unity.
Hamas official Mahmoud Zahhar said "the Palestinian Interior Ministry is trying to fight against Hamas through the media and it is acting as the lawyer of Satan without taking into account the Palestinian national unity."
Hamas and the PA traded accusations following a massive blast in the camp of Jabalia in Gaza Friday during a Hamas parade in which dozens were killed or wounded.
Hamas accused Israel of responsibility for the explosion, but the Interior Ministry said the blast was caused by a technical fault during the military parade, and called on Hamas to assume its responsibilities.
