NEW YORK, Sept. 18 (UPI) -- As part of National Hispanic Heritage month, the U.S. Postal Service dedicated its Let's Dance/Bailemos stamps at the Copacabana nightclub in New York.
The stamps bring to life four Latin dances: Salsa, Cha-cha-cha, Mambo and Merengue.
The ceremony included performances by composer-trombonist Willie Colon, "American Idol" finalist and former postal carrier Vonzell Solomon and The Copacabana Dancers. The stamp dedication was presented during the Puerto Rican Family Foundation's annual Excellence Awards, Noche de Fiesta.
Showcasing one of four popular dances on each stamp, four different Hispanic-American artists created designs that expressed their personal interpretations of Latin dance.
Although the four stamp images are similar in style, the artists -- Sergio Baradat, Jose Ortega, Edel Rodriguez and Rafael Lopez -- never saw each other's work, the U.S. Postal Service said in a statement.
