COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho, Sept. 15 (UPI) -- The man accused of kidnapping two children in Idaho after killing their family stocked his rented Jeep with a mix of high-tech and camping gear.

Prosecutors released 60 pages of documents Wednesday detailing items seized from Joseph Edward Duncan's Jeep Cherokee; the house where Brenda Groene, her son, Slade, and her boyfriend, Mark McKenzie, were killed; and the campsite where 11-year-old Dylan Groene's body was buried.

"Certainly the Jeep was well-equipped," Kootenai County Sheriff's Detective Brad Maskell told the Spokane Spokesman-Review. "He was carrying with him obviously many items of camping gear, clothing and blankets that could sustain him on long travels."

Investigators also found a laptop computer, two cell phones, maps and GPS equipment, along with a knife, sawed-off shotgun and McKenzie' wallet.

Duncan was arrested after a waitress at a Coeur d'Alene restaurant recognized Shasta Groene. He has been charged with the murder of McKenzie and Brenda and Slade Groene, and is likely to face additional charges of kidnapping and of killing Dylan Groene, whose body was found at a campground.
