UNITED NATIONS, Sept. 14 (UPI) -- Russian President Vladamir Putin Wednesday weighed in on terrorism at a U.N. summit -- the whole world needs to fight it, he said.
Putin was speaking at the largest U.N. gathering of world leaders, Novosti reports.
He called for every leader to fight terrorism, racism and ethnic and religious intolerance.
He said supporting terrorism should be criminal everywhere.
MosNews reports Putin was the first leader to sign the International Convention for the Suppression of Acts of Nuclear Terrorism at the summit as well.
The act calls for every country to develop a legal framework to fight nuclear terrorism crimes.
