Violence continues in Northern Ireland

BELFAST, Northern Ireland, Sept. 13 (UPI) -- Loyalist violence continued for the third day in Northern Ireland with police coming under gasoline and paint bomb attacks in Belfast and nearby towns.

Cars were hijacked and set on fire and used as burning blockades on main thoroughfares. About 30 people, including two juveniles, were arrested for riotous behavior, Sky News reported.

The rioting was most intense in north Belfast, where the trouble started after an Orange Order parade was re-routed Saturday, the report said.
