SANAA, Yemen, Sept. 10 (UPI) -- The United Nations said Saturday at least 150 illegal Somali immigrants have drowned as they tried to reach Yemen in the past three weeks.
The U.N. High Commission for Refugees said in a statement that the refugees were drowned as they tried to cross the Gulf of Aden into Yemen.

The UNHCR said of those, 25 people drowned Friday off the southern Yemeni shores.
It added that 75 more bodies were found floating in the sea after human smugglers forced the passengers on four boats carrying 400 people to jump overboard as they neared the shore.
