Poll: Almost half in U.S. creationist

MOSCOW, Aug. 31 (UPI) -- An imprisoned ex-oil tycoon said he will run for Parliament in Russia, MosNews reports.
Mikhail Khodorkovsky announced from his jail cell that he is grateful for the support he has gotten since being given a nine-year prison sentence for fraud and tax evasion.
Khodorkovsky was the head of the Yukos oil and gas company.
He said the charges were the work of sabotage from Moscow politicians including Vladamir Putin.
He called Putin's administration an "exhausted" one that "demoralized" Russian citizens.
Russian law says people serving jail time can't run for office but Khodorkovsky is allowed to run for office because his appeal has not made it to court yet.
