Fake FBI agent sought in rapist slayings

BELLINGHAM, Wash., Aug. 30 (UPI) -- Police in Bellingham, Wash., sought a man who reportedly posed as an FBI agent in the slaying of two convicted child rapists living in a halfway house.

Hank Eisses, 49, and Victor Vasquez, 68, were found shot to death early Saturday, possibly by a man who neighbors said wore an FBI baseball cap and had the letters "t" and "w" tattooed on his leg, ABC News reported.

Police said the suspect may have spent more than two hours talking to three men who lived in the house and reportedly told them they were on an Internet "hit list."

"We think it was a ruse a person would use to get close to individuals," Bellingham police Lt. Craige Ambrose told KOMO-TV.

The third man left for work and returned six hours later to find his housemates shot to death.

Police said they had not ruled out vigilante justice in the slayings.
