Tehran fire destroys 100 vehicles

TEHRAN, Aug. 12 (UPI) -- A fire that broke out in a Tehran neighborhood destroyed at least 100 cars Friday, but there were no casualties, the Iranian News Agency, IRNA, reported.

IRNA said the fire, which started in Kharasan Square in central Tehran, spread quickly engulfing 100 cars and two shops in the area.

A police source said the fire was caused by a fuel leak from a nearby gas station. The fuel leaked from the station into water and sewage pipes, the source said.
