BALTIMORE, Aug. 9 (UPI) -- A Pakistani citizen from New York whose name was on an anti-terrorism list was held in Baltimore Tuesday on charges of selling fake immigration documents.
Muhammad Asif Haider, 27, was arrested on the federal charges following a Sunday night traffic stop in Baltimore County, Md.
While Haider's name appeared on the FBI's Violent Gang and Terrorist Organization list, officials told the Baltimore Sun that Haider likely does not pose a terrorist threat.
The FBI's watch list also includes names of people who have no connection to international terrorism.
Haider was a passenger in a car that police stopped for driving without headlights on. He was arrested on pending immigration fraud charges for reportedly supplying fake Social Security numbers and green cards between June 2002 and May 2003.
Authorities said his case likely would be transferred to federal court in New York.
