VLADIVOSTOK, Russia, Aug. 7 (UPI) -- Three Russian warships sailed for the Yellow Sea in preparation for a Russian-Chinese anti-terrorism and anti-piracy exercise later this month.
The dual operation, scheduled for Aug. 23-25 off the Shandong Peninsula, is aimed at increasing coordination between the two military powers, the Russian news agency Novosti said.

The exercise will consist of 10,000 sailors and a company of marines, as well as long-range, fighter and cargo planes. It will follow a meeting of Russian and Chinese generals on Aug. 17-18 in Vladivostok.
