London police question stabbing suspect

LONDON, Aug. 6 (UPI) -- London police are interrogating a 20-year-old man they suspect has a connection to a July 29 stabbing death.

Sky News reports that the man was arrested Friday.

Police are still trying to track down witnesses that may have seen 28-year-old Richard Whelan stabbed multiple times on a bus in London.

Whelan died at Whittington Hospital.

Whelan was returning home with his girlfriend when he asked some youth to stop throwing things at her.

Police call the attack "totally unprovoked."

Reports said Whelan led the search for his missing best friend, who was found dead in the July 7 terror attacks in London.
