"The ex-prisoners asked me to file a lawsuit against the American government for illegitimate imprisonment for several years without charges or trial and for torture in prison," Khreiss told United Press International.

He said he will ask for compensation from the U.S. administration as well as for the liberation of all Arab prisoners in Guantanamo.

Khreiss said other Arab prisoners released from Guantanamo, including Saudis, Kuwaitis and Yemenis, are also planning to files lawsuits.
