CINCINNATI, July 8 (UPI) -- A 23-year-old Cincinnati man allegedly hired a hit man to kill his ex-wife, her unborn child and his 2-year-old daughter.

Jesse Pesta is accused of paying an undercover police officer $5,000 to kill his ex-wife, Kathryn Massie, and her unborn child. He is also accused of offering another $2,500 for the death of his 2-year-old daughter, reported WLWT-TV in Cincinnati.

"The original negotiation was for the ex-wife and her unborn child. It wasn't until the final meeting, when the actual first payment was to be made, that he mentioned the 2-year-old," said John Chapman, the undercover police officer. "It was surprising."
