Canada body-parts murder victim identified
LONDON, July 7 (UPI) -- Homecoming celebrations for London's successful 2012 Olympics bidders have been canceled after Thursday's terrorist blasts in the British capital.
The London 2012 bid team was supposed to have a fanfare farewell in Singapore before flying back into Heathrow Airport early Friday where they were expected to hold a news conference.
"The plans that were been laid out for the farewell and arrival celebrations have been canceled," Tessa Jowell, secretary of state for culture, media and sport, told the London Telegraph. "It would be completely inappropriate in view of this appalling tragedy."
