GAZA, July 7 (UPI) -- An Islamic Jihad militant was killed and two others wounded in an attack on a Jewish settlement in Gaza, Jihad officials said Thursday.
A spokesman for Jihad's military wing, al-Quds Brigades, said 20-year-old Ahmed Abu Shehab from Khan Younes was killed in the attack on the settlement of Morag in south Gaza late Wednesday.
"The three militants fired mortars and tossed hand grenades then clashed with Israeli troops inside the settlement, inflicting casualties among them," the spokesman said.
He said one of the attackers was killed in the clash while the two others suffered injuries but managed to flee and were treated in hospital. There were no reported Israeli casualties.
