Small plane invades capital's air space

WASHINGTON, June 29 (UPI) -- The U.S. Capitol was evacuated and the president taken to a secure location Wednesday evening after another small plane entered restricted air space.

It was the second small plane to violate the capital's air space in less a little over a month.

U.S. military jets were launched to intercept the fast-moving small private plane, The Washington Post reported.

The pilot of the twin-engine turboprop responded to radio and quickly changed course, the Post said.

The incident disrupted a Senate vote and the White House moved President Bush to a more secure location, the Post said.
