Spain confiscates three tons of cocaine

MADRID, June 14 (UPI) -- Spanish authorities confiscated three tons of cocaine and arrested 19 suspects in a bust in the waters off the coast of Spain.

Officials said the bust was made between the Azores Islands and the northwest coast of Spain, near the province of Galicia, El Mundo reported Tuesday.

The drugs were found aboard a Belgian ship.

Authorities also reportedly found other contraband on board, including cellular phones and jewelry.
