Prince William graduates with honors

LONDON, June 12 (UPI) -- Britain's Prince William has made history of a sort, graduating from college with honors -- an achievement none of his royal predecessors managed.

William's father Prince Charles graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge, with a lower second-class degree in history. His uncle, the Earl of Wessex, gained a similar qualification in the same major, from Jesus College, Cambridge, reported the London Observer Sunday.

William's mother, Diana, Princess of Wales, majored in domestic science, while William's brother Prince Harry, has opted for a military career and is currently training at Sandhurst.

Staff of Prince Charles at Clarence House in London announced Saturday the 22-year-old prince had gained an upper second honors degree -- a Master of Arts in geography -- from St. Andrews University, Scotland.
