Woman wins award for breast enlargement

SYDNEY, June 10 (UPI) -- A Sydney woman has won more than $165,000 for two years of pain and suffering caused by a failed breast enlargement.

Svetlana Neskovski underwent a procedure in 2000 to have fatty tissue taken from her thighs and inserted in her breasts.

However, after two years of pain and having lumps removed, she was forced to have a double mastectomy and breast reconstruction, according to court documents.

The Sydney District Court ruled Neskovski's doctor breached his duty by failing to inform her of the potential dangers of the procedure, the Australian Broadcasting Corp. reported Friday.
