COUER D'ALENE, Idaho, May 18 (UPI) -- Idaho investigators and the FBI Wednesday sought a man in three homicides and the disappearance of two children.

The Kootenai County sheriff's office identified the man they want for questioning as Robert Roy Lutner, 33, of Hayden, Idaho. He was known to have visited the home of Brenda Groene in the small town of Coueur d'Alene Sunday evening.

Monday night, Groene, her 13-year-old son Slade, and a 37-year-old man were found slain in the house. Brother and sister Dylan Groene, 9, and Shasta, 8, were missing.

Kootenai County Sheriff Rocky Watson said the woman's ex-husband had been ruled out as a suspect, although he would not elaborate, CNN reported.

"It was not a murder-suicide," he said.

The FBI, state police and detectives from Spokane, Wash., resumed the search for the children at first light Wednesday, using sniffer dogs and a helicopter.
