Poll: Almost half in U.S. creationist
BOGOTA, May 12 (UPI) -- A former Colombian minister of justice was arrested Thursday in connection with the assassination of former presidential hopeful Luis Carlos Galan.
According to El Tiempo newspaper's online edition, Alberto Santofimio Botero was arrested for being the mastermind behind the killing.
Galan was killed in 1989 during a campaign rally.
The murder was originally attributed to Colombian drug cartel leader Pablo Escobar, whose former security chief is serving time for the Galan killing.
