The Infratest poll found only 15 percent of an undisclosed polling sample were entirely opposed to the constitution, Deutsch Welle reported.
There is also strong support in Germany's parliament, whose lower house will vote on it Thursday, and the upper house will vote on it later this month. Support is so strong, there will not be a public referendum, as is scheduled for France May 29, Denmark Sept. 27 and Britain next year.
Opposition among German politicians is from the conservative side, particularly ultra-conservative leader of the Christian Social Union Edmund Stoiber who is concerned the admission of Romania and Bulgaria in 2007 will flood Germany with cheap labor and put additional pressure on German unemployment costs.
