MADRID, May 8 (UPI) -- Spain's future queen is three-months pregnant with her first child, the royal family announced Sunday.

The first born of Princess Letizia and Crown Prince Felipe is due in November, El Mundo newspaper reported in its online edition.

According to the Spanish constitution, however, the child may not automatically become the next in line for the throne. That privilege is reserved for the first born male, even if he has older female siblings.
