U.N. wants Croatia aid in catching suspect

ZAGREB, Croatia, April 26 (UPI) -- Croatia's bid to start European Union entry talks were dashed Tuesday when a U.N. official demanded Zagreb do more to catch a top war crimes suspect.

Carla del Ponte said fugitive Gen. Ante Gotovina was "within reach of the Croatian authorities" in facing charges of allegedly killing 150 Serbs and expelling 150,000 others from the Krajina region of Croatia in 1995, the BBC reported.
