Fatah says it destroyed Israeli bulldozer

GAZA, April 26 (UPI) -- Fatah's Hawks, a military group affiliated with Fatah, said Tuesday it bombed an Israeli bulldozer on the border between Egypt and the Gaza Strip.

The group claimed in a statement, "The Israeli bulldozer was destroyed with a rocket, and it was seen blowing up in pieces."

The statement threatened to carry out more attacks against Israeli forces to stop them from building a barrier on the border in southern Gaza.

Israel destroyed dozens of Palestinian houses near the border fence in Gaza in an attempt to create buffer zones between Israeli posts and Palestinian areas. Israel built a metal fence along the border, which the Palestinians say is similar to the barrier it is building in the West Bank.
